Bracebridge Fall Fair & Horse Show!!
Fun for everyone! Come
and partake in the many activities, exhibitions, and competitions!
September 14th – 16th, 2012 at the J.D.
Lang Activity Park, Fraserburg Rd., Bracebridge, Ontario
The Bracebridge Agricultural Society is a volunteer-driven, community-minded, registered non-profit charitable
organization. The objective of the Society is to encourage an awareness of agriculture and the environment by providing opportunities,
education and improvements to the quality of life for all citizens. The Society fulfils this goal each year by holding the Bracebridge Fall Fair & Horse Show,
something that has been done faithfully since 1867. The tradition of the Fall Fair provides a venue where local citizens
can show their quality livestock, fruits and vegetables, flowers and handiwork to friends, family and neighbours who can also
enjoy the many other activities that are available to fair-goers. The fact that many of our citizens, young and old, have
fond memories of the event is something we are very proud of and take to heart.

Membership in the Bracebridge Agricultural Society is
$5.00 a year and can be purchased year round or at the fair. Anyone entering exhibits or competing in the competitions
of the Bracebridge Fall Fair & Horse Show must be a member (except for the Junior and Youth Fairs). Call Fair Secretary
at 705-646-2404 to join.
The Bracebridge Agricultural Society
is a member of the Ontario
Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS) and specifically, Bracebridge is in what is referred to as District #11 of the OAAS. The OAAS is a unifying body for
Agricultural Societies in Ontario which through communication and educational activities provides leadership to the entire
agricultural industry.
President's Address:
In this 145th year for the Bracebridge Agricultural Society, I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK
YOU to all the volunteers who devote and commit themselves to making the fair happen. The Agricultural
Society is a non-profit organization that is run by volunteers who work diligently all year behind the scenes to plan this
event. The Executive, the board members, the committee heads and the many helping hands that are there
for us at fair time, all push ahead with the same focus in mind. We have many community sponsors and advertisers
that help with the ongoing expenses and make some of the prizes more appealing. We are always receptive
of people interested in participating.
The commitment to making the Bracebridge Fall Fair an anticipated event every
year is our goal. We would not succeed without you, whether you come to enjoy the horses, exhibit in the
many categories available, have some of the excellent food that is available, enjoy the entertainment, or just get in touch
with community; we endeavour to give you some of it all.
For the first time attendee or exhibitor……
welcome. I hope you leave knowing you will return again and again. Should you have interests
or questions about our fair or how you can get involved, the phone numbers of the board members are listed on this site.
Call me or anyone who is listed, and let’s get you started.
All there is left for you to do is COME AND ENJOY!!! Regards, Myrna Keizer,
President
Message from Mayor Graydon Smith:
Autumn in Bracebridge would not be complete without
the annual Fall Fair and Horse Show. This year is no exception as the 145th anniversary of this integral part of our
community rolls around again. The Agricultural Society, along with volunteers and exhibitors, has successfully kept this
great part of our history alive. With its strong tradition of horse and tractor pulls, horticultural and livestock displays,
midway, entertainment and fabulous food, the Fall Fair consistently offers many activities to enjoy and experience. On
behalf of Council and the citizens of our community, best wishes for another successful event.
